- 'Rittha' in
Nepali) are versatile

organic. Soapnuts contain 'Saponin', which have the
ability to clean and wash. When in contact with water, it creates mild
suds, which is similar to soap. Soapnuts can be used for cleaning

in both the Old World and New World. The genus includes both deciduous
and evergreen species. Common names include soapberry and soapnut, both
